When we work long hours every day, week after week, it becomes essential to intentionally create special moments with our loved ones. While we often find ourselves chasing after material things—money, cars, houses, influence, and power—we know deep down what truly matters: our relationship with God, Jesus, family, and the precious time we share together. Despite this understanding, we sometimes get caught up pursuing the wrong things, missing out on the experiences that bring real joy and fulfillment.
Some of the greatest moments in my life have been gifts from God. From witnessing the birth of a child, to laughing with my wife and kids at the beach, to spending my last precious minutes with my mom and dad before they went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ, these moments have shaped my life. Yet, I realize that I have missed many other important occasions by focusing on less significant pursuits.
Whether it’s cheering at your child’s sporting event, enjoying a family dinner out, or simply spending a cozy night at home with games, popcorn, and a movie, it is crucial to carve out time for these experiences. These are the moments that become cherished memories, and it is vital to experience them without the constant worries about work or household chores. Even though my schedule often demands 50+ hours of work per week and it is difficult for me to truly relax—even on vacation—when I do allow myself to unwind, the most amazing and memorable moments occur. These times not only fulfill my life but also refresh my energy.
For me, vacations have been the setting for many of these treasured experiences. They provide an opportunity to put aside thoughts of work and the never-ending ‘honey do’ list. Vacations allow me to simply be present with my family, appreciating the blessing they are in my life. Any time you can pause and focus on the people who matter most, free from everyday distractions, you create lifelong memories. Looking back at photos or videos from our annual vacations brings laughter and joy, sometimes to the point of tears, and these memories keep me going through the demanding weeks that sometimes prevent me from attending my children’s events.
Helping others discover opportunities for these meaningful moments is something that motivates me deeply. It provides fulfillment and purpose in my life, and I hope you will choose to seize the chance to create your own special moments with those you love. This is the reason behind our mission: to guide people in finding those memorable times with their loved ones and to encourage them to make these moments a priority.
